    Re: 2020 UW-F Project List

Please note, this list will be updated in July as usual. If you have a "project" you believe UW-F can help with to "make duck hunting in Florida better for Florida's duck hunters" please list as a Reply. The Board considers all items on the list and suggestions and votes.

      Re: 2021 UW-F Project List

Hey, Newton - I have been out of circulation due to the STA permit process shutting me out last two years despite it working every single year for me from 2006 through 2019. But I get that and it can't be fought, and I am not complaining.

Still, I was just renewing and checking things out on the forums.

The project lists in the recent year or two have included something about Hickory Mound and I don't see that on NW Florida or NE Florida items (kinda in the middle). So there may be a reason but I am just interested in what we know.

That place has been "dead" since Michael. I have been there last several seasons and there is next to nothing. In about 5 hunts last three years, I bagged one bluebill and two hoodies but saw LESS THAN TEN ducks/mergs each hunt.

This used to be my main place so you can imagine how bad it has hit me.

I realize the "projects list" was just set and I am late to the party, so really just wondering if we know anything FWC is doing. Last word - two years ago I called the biologist and she told me "the preseason outlook is that HM is in great shape to attract and hold ducks." I went for the opener and there was no food at all and no ducks.

Thanks for listening and for any info you have.
